WHAT TO EXPECT

Office staff are always available to personally answer any water well questions you may have in our service area.

Existing Wells

We carry a complete computer listing of all water well data available from the Colorado Division of Water resources. A quick computer check allows us to access available well data for your existing and any other well that exists near your property.

New Wells

The Colorado Division of Water Resources (http://water.state.co.us/) will require a State-issued Water Well Permit, obtained by the property owner, prior to beginning drilling the water well. Permit applications can be obtained from the Division of Water Resources, 1313 Sherman Street, Room 818, Denver, CO 80203, 303-866-3581.

This permit must be filled out by the property owner, or a licensed water well drilling contractor such as Living Water Systems. A working knowledge of topographic maps is required along with the legal description for the property. The legal description, i.e., Metes and Bounds survey, subdivision name, lot, block, filing number must be included in the application and the filing fee. It takes about 4 to 6 weeks to receive a permit by mail. To complete the well record, a Statement of Beneficial Usage is required on the date of the water usage.

Drilling and/or Fracturing the Well

Once your permit is in place, it is time to drill or fracture your well. We recommend you examine the process and contact us as early as practical so we can help you and identify the optimum choices.
